What is Camp ButterFLY?

A FREE quarterly virtual event for 14–17-year-old girls and young women that highlight diverse women in various careers and their path to reach their professional goals. The 1.5-hour session will focus on vibrant conversations that explore:

 

  • Information and tools to help you carve out a plan to get ready and stay ready for your career journey!
  • What inspired them to choose their profession
  • Why they chose a certain community college, university, internship, scholarship, or on-the-job training opportunity
  • A day in the life of their professsion/career path
  • Key skills necessary to excel in their professions
  • Expected salary ranges in year one, two, three…
  • Challenges and different paths for promotion
  • One wish they could tell their younger self to prepare for sooner than later
  • Potential power dynamics for women in various fields
  • Scholarship & Internship Opportunities
